"A chief event of life is the day in which we have encountered a mind that startled us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

And I am sitting on a stool on a stage and the lights are red and the notes carry and everyone is watching and I am singing soft and the song is real.
And I am standing on the stage with the mic stand before me and the drums beat in the back and the cello plays deep and smooth and I sing loud and the song is sad.
And I am standing on the edge of the mountain and the wind is whipping my hair and the air has a chill and the clouds surround me and I am living free.
And I am driving with the windows down and I am watching all the scenes pass by and the music is blaring and the bass is beating against my body and I am living in happiness.
And we are just waking up and the smell of coffee fills our apartment and our hair is messy and our make up is smeared but we are beautiful as ever and I am warm in your arms.
And we are just getting home and the room is dim and your skin is cool and your lips are soft and my heart is beating and I am in love with all that you are.
But I am sitting on a couch and the light to my right is orange and the light to my left is white and there is no light straight ahead and my arms are cold and I am living inside my head and that is all that there is.
